Impact statements:

Advancement Opportunities:
We prioritize providing advancement and development opportunities for our team members in several ways. One avenue we offer is by covering the costs of new technical certifications. This not only enhances their skill set but also empowers them to explore new areas within their field. Additionally, our commitment to promoting from within ensures that team members have a clear path for career progression. Unlike being confined to a single client or network type, our team members have the chance to engage with multiple clients, each with distinct IT requirements. This exposure creates a dynamic learning environment and offers a large range of career development opportunities.
Community service/charitable causes:
Supporting our community through service and charitable causes is integral to our company ethos. To encourage employees to do this, we allocate a paid half-day every quarter for employees to volunteer with local charities or groups of their choice. This empowers our team to positively impact their communities while still being paid.
Measuring satisfaction:
To gauge team member satisfaction, we incorporate communication initiatives into each department’s weekly L10 meeting. These forums provide opportunities for open dialogue and feedback, enabling us to address concerns and continuously improve the employee experience.
Work/Life:
Work-life balance is a priority for our company, and we offer several PTO initiatives to support it:
- We provide a generous accrual-based PTO policy, encouraging employees to take time off to recharge and pursue personal interests.
- Additionally, tenure-based increases in accrued time off incentivize long-term commitment and reward loyalty.
- Paid flex holiday days allow employees to observe holidays not recognized company wide.
- Additional paid volunteer days promote community engagement and personal fulfillment.
We also host a series of company events throughout the year. While some of these are employee only events, our larger quarterly events are not. For example: every year our team attends a Seattle Mariners game. At this event, we welcome all team members, their partners and children to join us at the ballpark for an evening of fun. Every summer we host a family BBQ at one of our employees’ homes. We also do an annual outing to a local Fall festival where the team and their families can go to the pumpkin patch, launch apples, ride carnival style rides, and more.
These perks are designed to not only foster a work like balance, but to also bring our teams closer and foster friendships along the way.
Our vacation and PTO policy is designed to support employee well-being and work-life balance. PTO hours accrue based on hours worked and tenure. New hires can accrue over 8 hours (a full day) off each month, and more tenured employees can accrue additional time. Employees also receive two paid flex holiday days to observe personal holidays and two volunteer days to engage in community service. This adds up to at least 14 days (about 2 weeks) of PTO, not including our observed holidays. Also, our team can rollover 40 hours of PTO annually – meaning if you don’t use it, you don’t immediately lose it. Our comprehensive PTO policy ensures that employees have ample time off to rest, recharge, and pursue personal interests.
Perks:
Our company offers various special perks to enhance the employee experience. In-office employees enjoy a weekly paid lunch. Transportation to and from company events is facilitated through Uber, ensuring convenience and accessibility. Regular company events, such as monthly and quarterly gatherings, promote team collaboration and bonding, creating opportunities for shared experiences and more meaningful connections.
Fun:
While our team prioritizes productivity during work hours, we also recognize the importance of offering a fun and supportive work environment. Quarterly company events provide opportunities for team members to unwind and socialize in a relaxed setting. These events encompass a range of activities, including roller skating rink buy outs, attending local sporting events, family BBQs, regular happy hours, and seasonal outings like ice skating and attending fall festivals. By incorporating fun into our corporate culture, we cultivate a sense of connectedness and fun among our team.
Communication and Collaboration Tools:
In fostering quick and easy communication channels among both remote and office-based employees, our company leverages several communication and collaboration tools. Microsoft Teams serves as a centralized platform for our team’s communication, enabling real-time messaging, video conferencing, and easy file sharing. On top of this, we use Microsoft SharePoint for a more advanced file sharing and storing system that allows our entire team access to the files they need. SharePoint also allows our employees to collaborate on documents in real time, editing, commenting, and correcting the documents as needed. Additionally, we utilize Ninety, an EO style management tool, for team task tracking and alignment, ensuring that all members stay connected and aligned with project goals and progress. These tools allow our team to stay connected whether they are around the office or working from home.
As a technology-driven company, we prioritize enabling our team members to excel in their roles whether they’re working in the office or remotely. When we hire new employees, we immediately provide essential hardware such as laptops, monitors, and accessories like docking stations and headphones to facilitate seamless remote work. Regular technology updates also ensure that our employees have access to cutting-edge tools, and a streamlined process for replacing damaged or outdated hardware promptly.
How corporate vision is communicated:
The corporate vision is effectively communicated to our team through monthly all-staff meetings, weekly team meetings, and one-on-one meetings with team managers. These meetings serve as a platform for sharing updates, discussing strategic goals, and reinforcing the company’s values. By creating opportunities for open communication and transparency at all levels, we make sure every team member is aligned with our overarching objectives and understands their role in achieving them.
Empowering employees:
Our company values the contributions and achievements of our employees and has established various programs to acknowledge their efforts. Internally, we utilize notifications in Microsoft Teams to announce smaller achievements company-wide. Additionally, we employ Crewhu bucks, a peer-to-peer recognition system where employees can reward each other for exemplifying our company values or going above and beyond in supporting a client. These Crewhu bucks can be redeemed for gift cards, swag, technology, and other rewards, in hopes of creating a culture of appreciation and camaraderie.
Externally, employee recognition is also showcased at company meetings and with financial bonuses, showing our commitment to valuing our employee contributions and achievements.
Our organization values a culture of empowerment, and we encourage team members to effect change through the EOS management philosophy. Within our structured L10 meetings, there is a segment allocated for identifying, discussing, and solving issues. This is an opportunity to allow team members to voice concerns and contribute to company improvements to drive change through feedback loops and discussions.
Team members are empowered to make decisions and suggest improvements by leveraging their technical expertise and collaborative spirit.
- Our organization values innovation and encourages employees to share their insights and ideas for optimizing processes and workflows to improve overall efficiency. This approach has created a culture of continuous improvement and ensures that decisions are informed by diverse perspectives – not just top down management.
- Our team is also allowed a high degree of autonomy, allowing them to make decisions they believe best serve their goals and the team’s objectives. We believe this style of management allows team members to feel ownership over their work and take pride in the things they produce.
Ensuring well-being:
Our company prioritizes flexibility and understanding when it comes to the health of our employees, allowing them to take personal time off as needed for reasons related to physical health, mental well-being, or caretaking responsibilities. Our leadership team actively supports mental health initiatives and encourages open communication to make sure our employees feel supported and valued. Work will never be more important than an employee’s health and we remain dedicated to that statement.
| Closing company statements:
Beyond the diverse work experience employees can expect to add to their resumes working at our company, they can also expect to be supported by a team of people encouraging their career advancements. Top candidates considering joining our team should be aware of our vibrant tech culture, characterized by a balance of hard work and fun.
