Advancement Opportunities:

Altaworx always promotes from within when given the opportunity and any new position is shared internally before externally posted on virtual job boards. We believe if you are a core value fit then we can find an opportunity for you to work with us. Managers are required within the company to have weekly one-on-one meetings with every member of their staff. These weekly meetings encourage open communication and allow managers to provide professional development opportunities.

Training Opportunities:

We are always encouraging our employees to participate in virtual training or classes to better their careers. During a new hires 90 days they are required to fill out a passport with all of our Managers and VPs to learn about different branches of our company and more about the telecom industry.

Community service/charitable causes:

Last Thanksgiving we volunteered at Prodisee Pantry, is a non-profit community ministry providing emergency food and disaster relief. Families who are having trouble making ends meet are given food assistance and additional information from a caring listener about other programs that may help to make their lives more stable. Altaworx has also sponsored Jubilee Kids Triathlon, a local triathlon for kids in or around Fairhope, AL.

Measuring satisfaction:

Altaworx uses an anonymous survey tool called TinyPulse. We send surveys every two weeks on a wide range of topics focused on improving our employees’ work life.

Altaworx has a standing desk for all their employees so they have the option of standing or siting during the work day. We also have a breakroom with access to a full kitchen and company stocked coffee and espresso. They also have access to a relaxation room with beanbag chairs, a gaming system, and a pinball machine to take their lunch break in or to have meetings for meetings.

Work/Life:

Altaworx actively promotes work life balance in the office using our breakroom and our wellness program. Every desk at Altaworx has the option of standing or sitting. Our breakroom is a place for our employees to relax during their lunch break with large beanbag chairs and games they can play. We also have laptops for all of our employees, and they have the option of working on the balcony or on some occasions they can work remotely.

All employees are encouraged to use their PTO throughout the year, as earned. The amount of PTO you earn is based off of your Anniversary with the company. Your first year you accrue 1.538 for every 40 hours worked. After the first year you receive 3.076 hours and after five years you receive 4.616 hours.

Perks:

We have a full kitchen and coffee/ expresso maker that anyone in the office can use and the company supplies the coffee. Each quarter we have an Altaworx Life event that focuses on either professional or personal development. Some events in the past are, LinkedIn Workshop, Personal Finance Workshop, Enneagram Workshop, and Phone Call Workshop.

Fun:

At the first of every month, we have “First Friday” were everyone gets off at 4. This event is for our employees to relax and build work relationships. Everyone gets off at 4 on Friday and the company provides food and drinks. We also have Nerf darts that our employees play throughout the day. During the workday someone can throw a dart at you but if they throw two and you are unresponsive then you have to stop because they are busy. This is a fun way to take a break and get to know your coworkers.

How corporate vision is communicated:

At the end/ start of every quarter we have an in-person company meeting where we recap the highlights of the last quarter and share our goals for the upcoming quarter. Everyone in the company has access to our VT/O (Vision Traction/ Organizer). This is a breakdown of where we see the company in 1 year and 3 years. We also share important updates with our team via email.

Empowering employees:

Every member of a team is responsible for at least one item on the EOS scorecard. This allows them to contribute towards the overall goals of the company.

Our weekly team meetings are used to talk about what is working and not working among the team members. Everyone on the team can add items to the Issues list and they are classified as long term or short term issues. This encourages open and honest communication by using two-way communication and creating discussions around topics.

We use TinyPulse to send cheers throughout the day to anyone who has gone above and beyond at their job. We also recognize employees on LinkedIn if they when an award or are

recognized by another company for the amazing work that they do. We celebrate Anniversary internally on TinyPulse and externally over LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

Ensuring well-being:

Every year we celebrate Employee Appreciation day. Last year we had food, private massages, and our CEO cooked everyone lunch. We also use Altaworx Life events and the Wellness Program that were previously talked about.

Closing company statements:

We hire and fire based on our Core Values. Yes, we have a plaque on our wall but we try to incorporate them and live by them every day to improve the lives of our employees.

Hire based on Core Value and have quarterly conversations about meeting the core values.
