Advancement Opportunities:
VEGA Americas provides advancement opportunities to our employees in a variety of ways.
We have three programs we would like to highlight:
- Our Apprenticeship Program
- The Fast Track Sales Program
- Our Employee Development Plan
Participants in the apprenticeship program attend class part time free of charge to them while also working part time. The goal of the program is to enhance manufacturing skills that supports the employee’s development in a changing manufacturing environment.
The VEGA Americas Fast Track program allows employees enhanced learning in technical aspects of products and skills to support growth in customer facing roles. With their developed skills, it gives the employee the opportunity to apply for positions they wouldn’t otherwise have qualified for.
Every employee at VEGA Americas submits a yearly Employee Development Plan (EDP). Together with their manager, the employee will identify areas of learning that expands their knowledgebase. This allows the employee continual growth opportunities and keeps their skills current with the market.

Measuring satisfaction:
VEGA Americas participates in a yearly employee survey to identify areas of improvement and areas of satisfaction. This is an anonymous survey that management will use to implement improvements to the daily life at VEGA. Each manager will also have one-on-one meetings with their team members to discuss how they can help employees in their roles.
Work/Life:
Through our flex scheduling employees are able to find work/life balance. We also have an on-site clinic, work out facility, chef-provided lunch, and walking trails. Health and wellness supports employees and their families both on and off campus.

Fun:
Employees have the opportunity to have fun in our Game Room and outdoor play amenities. In the Game Room, they can unwind with a game of ping pong or shuffle board. There are even video game stations for those that enjoy the esports. Outside, co-workers can challenge each other to a game of basketball or corn hole. It you’re kind of fun is enjoying nature we have a 1 mile walking track that goes through 20 undeveloped acres on the property.
Communication and Collaboration Tools:
VEGA Americas has more than 100 remote staff either working through our remote office or their home office. To facilitate easy and seamless communication VEGA keeps it simple using common tools including Intranet, internal chat, and email. Each employee attends communication training on social styles and how to organize your message. These tools facilitate a common language to communicate no matter your location.
Every employee receives a standard office setup to ensure they can perform their job effectively from anywhere.
How corporate vision is communicated:
The Leadership team at VEGA Americas promotes our goals and values in various ways. The values of Humanity, Curiosity, Connectivity, and Simplicity are part of the daily culture at VEGA. They are demonstrated through our campus environment and the way which we interact as an organization. Company goals are reviewed with employees quarterly and we have a five year vision document which is also communicated.
Empowering employees:
VEGA Star is a way for peer-to-peer recognition for an employee who has exhibited one of our values. This employee receives recognition in our newsletter, on company TVs and receives a small gift. VEGA also gives employees recognition gifts for job well done. This is on the spot and genuine example of appreciation.
Continuous improvement is a cornerstone at VEGA. Each department has a huddle where employees are encouraged to bring up improvement ideas. In our factory we have a daily 2 second lean where we highlight an improvement-a-day that was implemented. We also have a dedicated Continuous Improvement department which handles large scale improvement to keep us effective and efficient.
Team members are encouraged to take action on areas of improvement that support an efficient and effective work environment to benefit our customers. They are encouraged to work across teams to accomplish this.
Ensuring well-being:
New employees can accrue a prorated 3-week vacation in their first year. Additional vacation days are granted through years of service.
Employees have access to a variety of wellness activities both on and off campus. We have our wellness program, onsite clinic and access to mental support link.
