Advancement Opportunities:

ScanSource has developed many programs to assist in the career advancement of employees worldwide. One of the newest and most in‐depth company‐wide programs, Leadership 2020, aims to prepare management and director‐level employees for the next step in their career at ScanSource. Employees complete monthly classes and curriculum organized and taught by ScanSource’s HR and executive team.

Community service/charitable causes:

ScanSource has historically made it a priority to support every community in which we have offices. The company believes that by giving back to the communities in which we live and work, we can play a part in bettering our society. In 1994, the ScanSource Charitable Foundation was formed, and today, the non‐profit organization, which is overseen by an employee‐only Board of Directors, continues ScanSource’s mission with a primary focus on supporting organizations dedicated to the welfare of children, education and the environment. ScanSource’s employees log thousands of volunteer hours utilizing our resources to support educational initiatives, charitable and non‐profit partners. Since beginning the Foundation, more than $15 million has been given back to our communities. These efforts not only have a large impact on our communities, but they provide our employees with greater job satisfaction and opportunities for leadership development and training, while positively impacting ScanSource’s business as we increase community support.

Measuring satisfaction:

ScanSource implements a global satisfaction survey, however what is most important is making sure managers are meeting with their teams on a regular basis. Employees can enjoy healthy meals at ScanSource’s on‐site bistro, which is an entity of one of Greenville’s most popular eateries. All ScanSource employees also receive various discounts with certain wireless carriers, as well as discounts on products from any of the company’s vendor partners. As mentioned, employees don’t have to pay for gym memberships since they have access to on‐site facilities.

Fun:

ScanSource encourages all employees to partake in volunteer opportunities throughout the workday. Team members don’t have to worry about making up time for an hour they might spend delivering meals to those in need or volunteering at the local animal shelter. Along with volunteer activities, employees can be found working out at on‐site fitness facilities with professional fitness instructors, shooting a few hoops in the parking lot, or catching a quick game of Cornhole in the courtyard. ScanSource has fitness facilities in many of its regional offices, as well, ensuring employees across the globe can partake in wellness activities during the week.

Executive leadership communicates to ScanSource’s employee base on a regular basis, either through email updates or ScanSource’s monthly Global Update Meetings. Announcements, whether large or small, are often made through the use of emails that ScanSource’s marketing team helps draft, produce, and distribute to the applicable database of employees. ScanSource also holds monthly meetings for the entire employee base, in which executives give updates on the state of the business, highlight company wins, celebrate employee recognitions (either company or community recognitions), and share upcoming events and activities. ScanSource also employs digital signage around its offices to underscore important events and activities.

Empowering employees:

The empowerment of every employee, no matter company standing, lives in ScanSource’s core values. The company culture creates an environment where all employees can be heard and recognized for their hard work and good decision making. Since ScanSource’s inception, the company’s CEO has always said that some of the best growth comes from learning from mistakes. Ensuring well-being:

Along with fitness facilities and classes, an onsite clinic and bistro, ScanSource goes above and beyond with the company’s wellness program, 360You. The program, created in partnership with Greenville Health System, offers annual biometric wellness screenings to employees and their spouses, free flu shots to all employees and their families (including children), and even confidential, off‐site mental health support to those who need it.

Employees work with their managers on their schedules. ScanSource provides a standard 2‐week vacation policy which increases with every five years of service. The company also provides ample sick leave and personal time off.

Work schedules for employees vary throughout ScanSource, and managers advise employees of their specific schedules. However, ScanSource realizes employees have a life outside of the office, and when individual needs or situations arise, employees are encouraged to work with their managers to accommodate requests.

Longevity:

ScanSource’s CEO co‐founded the company and has been with the company since day one. Out of the six original employees who founded the company, five are still with ScanSource. The average tenure of a ScanSource employee is more than six years. In fact, many employees have spent the majority of their career with ScanSource.
